NYC Bookkeeping, Inc. opened for business in 2000, with Robert Horowitz as the Managing Partner. Mr. Horowitz established 1800TaxesCPA in 1988. He started his career with Ernst & Young, LLP. As a former staff member and alumni, he maintains close ties to many of the partners. Mr. Horowitz is also a former Adjunct Assistant Professor and has served on the faculties of both the City University of New York and the State University of New York teaching Bookkeeping and Accounting Principles, Federal Income Taxation, Principles of Accounting, and Managerial Accounting courses. He has also been a member of the Advisory Grading Staff of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is licensed to practice before the Internal Revenue Service of the Treasury Department of the United States Government, and has a close working relationship with many of the District Directors Offices of the Internal Revenue Service. He has represented his clients throughout the various branch offices of the country. Mr. Horowitz holds memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The firm also maintains offices in Beverly Hills, California and Miami, Florida.
